Category: Autoinstall Kernel Group: v3.2.0 >Status: Closed >Resolution: Works For Me Priority: 5 Submitted By: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Assigned to: dann frazier (dannf) Summary: ping and rsync error on autoinstall Initial Comment: I have created a golden image and on my image server and I"ve ran the mkautoinstalldiskette command to create the disk. Next I placed a local.conf file in the root of the floppy. The local.conf looks like this: HOSTNAME=esspareweb2 DOMAINNAME=estestdev.com IMAGESERVER=10.200.8.26 IMAGENAME=linux_install DEVICE=eth0 IPADDR=10.200.8.42 NETMASK=255.255.0.0 NETWORK=10.200.0.0 BROADCAST=10.200.255.255same GATEWAY=10.200.1.1 GATEWAYDEV=eth0 When I boot new the client with the diskette it loads the kernal ok, then trys to ping the image server, but fails, then there is an rsync error; connection refused, and the installation gives up. BUT when I manually ping the image server from the command line it works!! Any help would be greatly appreciated.
