AJ,

May I suggest that you sign up for and send your questions to
<[EMAIL PROTECTED]>? You may get faster and
sometimes better responses from folks on that list (which includes
myself).

You can also visit IRC.

More info on both of these is available here:

As to busybox, yes, it is currently a requirement. However, it's
probably time for us to update it's version anyway, so you might try the
latest on your own system. If it works, send a patch to the above list.

If not, let us know.

Cheers, -Brian

Thus spake AJ Hawks ([EMAIL PROTECTED]):
Brian,

I am working with Kai and David here at TSS, and I'll be doing the GUI
work for our SIS port.

I am trying to build SIS from source on the PPC (64), and get the
following error:
----------------------------------------------------------------------
gcc -Wall -Wshadow -Os -fomit-frame-pointer -D_GNU_SOURCE -DBB_VER='"0.60.5"' -DBB_BT='"2004.09.20-17:35+0000"'
-DUSE_SYSTEM_PWD_GRP -Ilibbb -c libbb/syscalls.c -o libbb/syscalls.o
libbb/syscalls.c: In function `pivot_root':
libbb/syscalls.c:68: error: asm-specifier for variable `__sc_4'
conflicts with asm clobber list
libbb/syscalls.c: In function `sysfs':
libbb/syscalls.c:43: error: asm-specifier for variable `__sc_4'

libbb/syscalls.c:43: error: asm-specifier for variable `__sc_5'
conflicts with asm clobber list
make[1]: *** [libbb/syscalls.o] Error 1

make: ***

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Is busybox a necessity? Is there any way to disable it or fix this
compile error?

thanks,
AJ
