Hello,
When you apply the patch updating ia64 to kernel 2.6.9, you need to remove the following files:
patches/linux.ia64.05ia64.patch patches/linux.ia64.15blkioctl-sector.patch patches/linux.ia64.85optimize_for_size.patch
