Hello,

I’m trying to install several nocona with systemimager. There are several problems, like SATA, e1000 and x86_64. After many days of browsing forums and internet, and many testing, I read about installing systemimager 3.5.1 from source. I have managed to install it, with problems too, and then I have done “make install_server _all” and “make install_boel_binaries_tarball” and “make install_initrd”.

I have been able to get a 2.6.10-boel kernel and an initrd image, but when I try to install my remote system I get an error.

It starts the busybox and then /etc/init.d/rcS fails trying to create files like /tmp/si.log because it is a read-only file system.

I have read that devfs has problems in x86_64, could that be the problem, any hint I could try?

I have chosen 3.5.1 because it says it has built-in support for x86_64. I have also tested 3.2.3 until viewed the chroot error, between 32 bit kernel and 64 bit system.

Thank you in advance for your answers.
