I've been working on the build for 3.5.x against debian stable. This is
similar work to what I did to 3.4.1. Should I submit patches to the list, or
should I just go ahead and commit against HEAD? Like 3.4.1, many of the
make.d/*.rul files need repair for cross dependencies in the source builds,
we need popt and zlib rul files, lvm.rul needs to be split because it's
building more than one source, the devmapper build is broken, and the main
makefile needs the mklibs -L path repaired. I'm not done debugging yet, but
I'm certain about 90% of the above stuff.
