when I was doing that I was aiming at getting the x86_64 and ia64 support
working. So I took the highest kernel version supported in SVN (for i386) and
this happened to be 2.6.10. Now, since all trouble is sorted out with 2.6.10
(I hope) we could move to 2.6.12. 2.6.11 has some flaws...
