I completely agree with you... at this moment I think we don't need
it... Moreover the command can cause very annoying or dangerous problems
(for example the reboot of the golden client).
The patch I proposed resolves at least this kind of problems performing
the `touch` only in the regular files; I've tested it and the kernel and
initrd are created without problems. So even if SLES9 uses udev (and
probably this is not sufficient to make UYOK work) I think we should
apply the patch...
