Been talking with Matt Jamison about package dependency issues with the initrd_template package.
Now that I've put more thought into it, I think this package needs to be architecture dependent, since you can only run si_prepareclient on the architecture you're on. Furthermore, I think that the systemimager-client package needs to be dependent on the <arch>initrd_template package since si_prepareclient won't run without it. Makes sense?
