Two things. An idea, and a post-change notification. - Post-change: systemimager.uchicago.edu is changing it's domain name to ci.uchicago.edu (ci for computational institute). Therefore, I have updated DNS for all references to that machine (in the systemimager.org and sisuite.org domains) to point directly at the IP address (which won't change) instead of using a CNAME record.
So be on the watchout for DNS strangeness. - An idea. But first the problem: - We make commits to SVN, an email is sent out, but we can't just reply to that email because the committer's email address is non-deliverable. One possible solution: - There is currently no MX record for the SVN machine. We simply add an MX record for it, that points to the systemimager.org mail server. - On the systemimager.org mail server, I create aliases for each committer that forwards on to their real account.
