Summary: Support for bonded interfaces

Initial Comment:
I haven't found this feature supported in 3.6.3. and
the bloody firewall prevents me from getting to svn to
get 3.7.3, so I hope I'm not asking for something
that's already there

On RHEL, our systems use bond0 network interface
composed of eth0 and eth1. During the autoinstallation,
I would not really care over which interface the
installation proceeds, but after the files are copied,
could the following steps be taken?

1) cd /etc/sysconfig/networs-scripts
2) Check for existence of ifcfg-bond0
3) If found, modify all IP settings to match values
from ifcfg-eth0
4) Copy ifcfg-eth1 to ifcfg-eth0 and replace eth1 with
eth0 for device in ifcfg-eth0

(I'm totally new to this so I don't know how much of
this is distribution-dependant, and if setting up the
bonding will be equally simple on other *NIXes)

You can do all those steps using a post-install script. Look
in /var/lib/systemimager/scripts/post-install.

Regards,
-Andrea

P.S. remember that post-install scripts run chrooted into
the installed image...
