I think we should leave it around. Even if one can't boot from a floppy, it can still be really handy to have your local.cfg there. It's also possible to put SSH keys on a floppy if you're using SSH as the transport. >we can >simply add the local.cfg parameters in the kernel boot options, or not? We can do that, but let's keep local.cfg around for now. local.cfg can also be read from the root of a pre-existing system if it is being re-installed (don't think this code is used very often these days though). I definitly agree with adding the --no-floppy option to grub.
