One problem is solved.  The problem with not being able to log in at runlevel 3, seems to be related to turning on SELINUX=enforcing in the /etc/selinux/config file.

This last go around during the final install process of the golden client, I turned it to disabled before creating the golden-client image.

Does this make any sense to anyone?

I am still working on the problem with no swap.

Using RedHat FC-5 downloaded from RedHat's Fedora website.

I have downloaded systemimager-3.7.4r3734_bli and installed and did make on both server and golden client.

Did make install_server_all on the server and make install_client_all on the client

When cloned client boots, I don't have SWAP and there is an error during bootup in /var/log/messages "kernel: Unable to find swap-space signature" Also on the boot screen there is a message like:

Enabling swap space: swapon: /dev/VolGroup00/LogVol01: Invalid Argument


Another problem probably not related.... When I am at runlevel 3, and try to log in as root, I can't. There is an error message that flashes very quickly on screen. I am still trying to track this issue down.


Do you need more information?

Any ideas?
