Hi all,

even if there are a lot of parallel shell tools (c3, dsh, pdsh, etc) I
think that having similar commands well integarated with systemimager
would be very useful.

In perspective the idea is to have a complete tool able to identify
groups of clients, image-based or override-based hosts, etc. in order to
have a server-driven mechanism to push files (and execute commands) to
the clients after the installation, as an alternative to
si_updateclient, maybe also integrated with the different transports
supported by systemimager.

Well, to start I've checked in the trunk a very simple implementation,
but very fast ;-), of a parallel shell and a parallel copy program (via
rsync) that support host ranges (not based on images, etc for now). I
wrote (and used) this code some days ago and there's nothing of
definitive, but I like to introduce those commands as "beta" before
tagging the 3.7.6 release...

What do you think? comments, ideas?

Regards,
-Andrea
