Hi,
I use SIS v3.7.4 to install RedHatEL5, but after the target node got the
kernel and initrd(generated by si_prepareclient)
I ran into the same problem :
md: Autodetecting RAID arrays.
md: autorun ...
md: ... autorun DONE.
RAMDISK: Compres iso_blknum=17, block=-2147483648
No filesystem could mount root, tried: ext2 iso9660
Kernel panic - not syncing: VFS: Unable to mount root fs on
unknown-block(1,0)
I have found a solution to fix this problem, hope to be helpful for you
too:)
it is to add a parameter to the kernel boot options, something like this
"ramdisk_blocksize=1024",
because it is the ramdisk block size of the initrd.img we got from the
golden client.
and it seems that if we do not indicate this parameter in the boot options
,then it can not be recognized.
I have verified this solution and it works well.
I'd like to share it with all the SIS users, because I have got a lot of
help here, thank you all.
Best Regards,
