Please see my notes on installing OSCAR onto my PE1950 cluster here
http://svn.oscar.openclustergroup.org/wiki/oscar:5.0:user_submissions:ldapsetup

They may help you, or the drivers may be totally different. At the least
the general solution (load the backplane drivers explicitly before imaging
and changing the modprobe.conf) should be applicable, since it is the same
error message I got.

Your milage may varry. Just ignore the LDAP parts (or not :) they are
probably not insanely helpful anyway.

Hi,

we installed OSCAR package on a Poweredge 1855 blade system. We did all
steps to deploy the image on clients. The clients are poweredge 1855 as
well. It starts downloading the kernel and the initrd from the server but it
crashes with the UNDEFINED: DISK1 error message. We follewed all steps from
your faq but we didn't success (
http://oscar.openclustergroup.org/faq.installation.sis-kernel). We send
you the output from the commands below.
I would like to say that those blades have 2 x 140GB disk. There is just
one disk available as the other one is used in a raid1 system internally. We
didn't create software raids during the partition as it seems to be working
by hw. I added my table partition added to oscar during the client image
creation to see if you could see anything wrong there. However, I tried to
create the client image with the scsi.disk file deployed with OSCAR but it
failed with the same error message.

Thanks a lot,
Xavier Fustero
