I had the same probelm last weekend but was using the latest of everything execept systemconfigurator. When I upgraded that, everything went fine.
The following is what I installed on the server and client.

Do you have the perl-Appconfig package installed? Either from rpm or
CPAN. It sounds like it isn't installed properly. You shouldn't need to
move the AppConfig.pm file around manually if it was installed.
