I have been running systemimager server on redhat9 beta 3 with the 2.4.22 kernel and It has been working great. Anecdotally appears to run faster then with the the stock redhat 9 kernel.
This is with the Linux: 2.4.22-1.2088.nptl Kernel It is currently running a 450 GIG software Raid 5 system and the disk performance is decent. I usually push out a 4-6 gig images to 20-30 simultaneous clients on a 100 Ethernet connection. I noticed that upgrading my ram from 512 to 1024 speeds up the file list transfer. Has anyone else noticed any major improvements with upgrading ram on their systemimager server? Any other performance tweaks you want to share? --Luke ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: The SF.net Donation Program.
