I'm doing my testing on RedHat 9. I don't know if this is good news of not, but I'm not able to duplicate what I was seeing (and now I'm wondering if I managed to confuse myself at the time) because now things appear to be working correctly.

I tried a few more combinations of cfg files in various directories and did verify (I hope) that if you have a cfg file for eth0 in the profiles directory and one in the network-scripts directory along with a second in in the scripts directory for eth1, the eth0 in the profiles directory overrides the one in script, yet the eth1 in scripts still gets used. I think that was what you were asking.

So, assuming then that all IS ok with SystemConfigurator, the next question becomes whether or not it would be worth adding the capability (for which I'll raise my hand if nobody else has time) to SI to provide configuration information for additional interfaces. That would then lead to the question of what is the best way to do it, but I thought I'd first just start out with whether or not it's worth doing. I can say emphatically it's worth it to me.
