This is probably a FAQ: We need a kernel (+ initrd.img ?) which supports the Intel e1000 driver, as well as Serial-ATA disks. Does anyone have it available for download ?
We're trying to do SI installation of a brand new Dell PowerEdge 750 1U rack server with dual Intel Gigabit NICs and a Serial-ATA disk, and the SI 3.0.1 kernel doesn't seem to support the e1000. We've installed Redhat RHEL 3.0 successfully from a CD and made a golden client image on the SI server. PXE booting also works fine until the kernel tries to access the network.
Thanks a lot for your help !
