Write a script that runs out of cron that updates the machines periodically
(once per night, or whenever), and then reboots.  For a lab of machines that
should be fine, assuming your lab is closed at some point.

I have a script that I use that runs updateclient + cvsup to grab per host
configs, kicks updated services, etc, but if you don't need 24x7 uptimes, then
just rebooting afterwards is easiest.

This way, the machines will update when they are running Linux automatically,
but not when people are using your lab.
