seriously, I've been finding problems in trying to use updateclient with cciss devices in conjunction with modifications I had to make to grub-install, Grub.pm and Label.pm. Specifically, when updateclient invokes systemconfigurator, all the parameters being passed in via STDIN are being rejected with 'parse errors' by the AppConfig.pm. However, I've instrumented the File.pm routine where it fails and there doesn't appear to be anything wrong with the data being parsed. This happens long before any of my modified routines get called but something is not right. The 'cheaping out' way is to just not call SystemConfigurator but I don't know what the consequences of not doing that would be.
