My experience on redhat 9.0 (think same for other distrib): many times set high size for tmps in kernel parameters is not sufficient. If the whole image is bigger than swap+memory then you get a lack of disk space error message. You must create a swap partition (i setted it in master script). Mind that you can't create a swap larger than 2G, so, if the image is still bigger, you have to create more swap partitions (and activate them).

I'm hoping to change that chunk of code back (tmpfs is optional) with a new version of udpcast and a our new kernel. If tmpfs is getting full, and you must use multicast, see the FAQ for tmpfs options. You may want to explicitly set the size of your tmpfs filesystem. The FAQ section of the SystemImager manual will explain this, and give you all the tmpfs options you can use, and how to use them.
