Possibly. Although the libata backport I used (2.4.25) is from 2004 Mar 29 while the latest version is 2004 April 24/25. Marcello has claimed that 2.4.27 will include libata. Hopefully since SATA is going to be a large part of the server market the SI kernel will move to that when it comes out. 2.4.27 and 2.6.x SATA will be the same.
