We have some special configuration where we have done a fair deal of hacking for our /etc/network/interfaces file on the golden client. This file should be copied as-is to the clients, but currently it can't be done as "systemconfigurator" rewrites it as part of the installation in the master script.
Is there something that could be done to prevent this, short of modifying the actual master script?
systemconfigurator configss the nework for you. You can prevent this, man systemconfigurator:
--confighw --confignet --runboot (default options)
leave out --confignet and you are in business ;-) You have to edit the master script.
