As suggested I have used root=/dev/ram0 instead of root=/dev/ram
but I got the same problem

The kernel used come from systemimager-ia64boot-standard-3.5.2-1.noarch.rpm

Do you know if I have to build a new kernel instead to use this rpm for
IA64 machine

Thanks for your help

Thierry

root=/dev/ram is not correct ?

Any/all suggestions welcome. Stephen ?

Thanks a lot in advance
