Hi Greg:
Do you know which official kernel version contains that HBA
driver? Using a newer kernel in place of the one which shipped with
SystemImager and re-compiling the binaries may be one way to go about
it.
Cheers,
Bernard

Subject: [Sisuite-users] Need to add an HBA driver
Hello there everyone.
System Imager and BOEL are getting the best of me, so I am reaching out for some help.
I need to add the drivers for a Qlogic HBA into the boot kernel & initrd.
Adding the Qlogic driver through "my_modules" does not look like the right solution because it can not be loaded until other SCSI modules are loaded.
I was looking to see if a newer version of System Imager had a later version of the 2.4 kernel which included HBA drivers, but it does not.
I am somewhat at a loss about how to proceed. Breaking "my modules" and putting the insmod commands into the RcS script seems like the wrong approach. I am also not sure that creating a patch package to get applied to the kernel is the right way either, but I will investigate that.
Any and all suggestions are appreciated.
Thanks!
