DHCP server seems confused.
Using SystemImager 3.4.1, dual PIII, PXE boot. FC 3
A golden client was setup and retrieved. DHCP is
setup and running. The /etc/hosts file looks correct,
As in:
192.168.2.1 node01.secure.net node01
192.168.2.2 node02.secure.net node02
.
. .
192.168.2.46 node46.secure.net node46
192.168.2.47 node47.secure.net node47
Compute nodes boot and install via PXE at least
the first time I went through this. From node47-node24.
I started from the top and worked my way down mostly
because DHCP doles out IPs from the top down.
I'm guessing the idea is to install all the clients, boot them up
with the correct IPs then do a si_mkdhcpstatic. I don't think
I've done this yet. The /etc/dhcp.conf looks pretty stock and
does not have any assignments to MAC addresses.
Starting to boot again from the top down, i.e. node47, node46,
I get to node37 and the DHCP server wants to give it IP #
192.168.2.23 not 2.37. I've looked everywhere I can think of:
dhcpd.conf, dhcp.leases, some of the PXEboot stuff and
can't figure it out. Node37 will no longer PXE boot either.
Even after doing a si_mkclientnetboot -network -clients node37.
Any ideas what's up here?
Thanks tons for any help.
