After giving up for a while on forcing os changes by pushing out an image - I'm giving the boot cd a try. As far as I know I've done a full install of everything needed here... but when trying to generate the iso for a boot image I get...

Where does one get or make or configure this "systemimager-boot-i386.tar.bz2" ball?

Many thanks in advance if someone can point me in the right direction of what I'm doing wrong here.

I can't find boot files of the flavor and architecture specified.
The files you specified would come from a SystemImager boot tarball named:
