What version of SystemImager are you using?

Subject: [Sisuite-users] creating image on a mounted NFS file system

Hi,

I am having problems creating an image on a nfs mounted file system. si_getimage fails to create the devices. Bellow a description of the procedure:

1 . ran si_prepareclient run on the golden client;
2 . created a symbolic link on /var/lib/systemimager/images directory to the mounted nfs file system. ("ln -s <mounted nfs filesystem>/imagename linkname"). The creation of the link is working. I can access and write to the intended detination dir, as well doing cd <linkname> without any problems.
3. ran si_getimage (with the appropriate options) on the image server.

It fails to create the devices in the destination dir. here is the error:

mknod <device name> : Unknown error 524

 I read in a post somewhere that it´s not possible to do mknod in an nfs mounted filesystem. Is this information correct? If it is correct, does anyone know a workaround for this?
