Hello Zubin,

I installed System Imager 3.6.3-1 from Bernard rpms
http://www.bcgsc.ca/downloads/oscar/systemimager/ and I was able to image
and restore a DELL poweredge 850 successfully.

Let me know if you have any problems

Hi Simon

I installed System Imager 3.6.2 on a clean Redhat Enterprise Linux 4 (ES)
system with the same result as before namely, no detection of the SATA hard
drives when imaging and the following error when running si_getimage...

------------- rhes30-prj IMAGE RETRIEVAL FINISHED -------------

Press <Enter> to continue...
Couldn't open
/var/lib/systemimager/images/rhes30-prj/etc/systemimager/boot/ARCH for
reading No such file or directory at
/usr/lib/systemimager/perl/SystemImager/Server.pm line 84.

The si_getimage command I used was:

si_getimage --golden-client prj-intel-05 --image rhes30-prj

Since Dell officially support RHEL 3 and 4 (ES version only) on the Poweredge
850 it should not be too hard for the SystemImager developers to support this
platform (would be very much appreciated!).

Hopefully, it won't be too long before SystemImager works with the Dell
Poweredge 850.

Cheers

Zubin
