Bernard,

if I remember well the local.cfg works only if it's in a floppy or in
the LAST_ROOT device (usually an old partition in disk). Moreover the
last option needs to setup a LAST_ROOT parameter in the boot options, so
it's the same than setting the IMAGESERVER param directly to syslinux.cfg...
