Yes, systeminstaller is used to build image without a golden client.

The last version that was not merged with OSCAR should still work, so
you can use that if you really need it.

We pretty much decided that we are the only people who use
systeminstaller and decided to make the code more specific to our needs,
which means there will be bits that are specific to OSCAR (thus the name
systeminstaller-oscar).

If there is overwelming request for systeminstaller to be continued as a
separate package, we can definitely discuss that, but like I said, the
old version should still continue to work fine.
