This happens more so when you use the golden kernel in /etc/systemimager/boot,
which is made by si_prepareclient. One solutionis to live with it and just make 
the
ramdisk big enough (via a --append option to si_mkautiinstallcd).

Oh, you are making an autoinstalldiskette!! Now that is a problem... :-(

PS - In 3.6.3, the --append option does not appear to do anything, so then
(assuming cd media that still holds the image) you need to manually append
ramdisk_size=48000 (what I needed using an FC4 kernel + initrd), which
is tedious/problematic if you have lots of machines or want to just hand 
out the disk to unsuspecting co-workers :-)
