Andrea,
I am using LVM1. I currently don't have pvs installed, and unable to do
so. The output of the vgdisplay -c is:
appsvg:3:5:1:256:1:1:4294836224:256:1:1:292913152:65536:8939:7500:1439:P

8U-8e1n-nR04-NUr8-GC33-ii2b-U1lMrf

And the output of lvdisplay -c is:
/dev/rootvg/rootlv00:rootvg:3:1:0:1:30720000:3750:3750:0:1024:58:0
/dev/appsvg/appslv01:appsvg:3:1:0:1:491520000:7500:7500:0:1024:58:2

You said some of the cloning procedures have been resolved in recent
fixes. I upgraded all the systemimager files from 3.6.3 to
3.7.3r3597_bli-1. I no longer receive errors on "Use of uninitialized
value in concatenation (.) or string at
>> /usr/lib/systemimager/perl/SystemImager/Common.pm line 802." But now
I receive a bunch of hardware modules missing. I have
systemimager-i386initrd_template-3.7.3r3597_bli-1 installed.
Using "sfdisk" to gather information about disk:
        /dev/sda
WARNING: Couldn't find module "ide-cd" (skipping it)!
WARNING: Couldn't find module "cdrom" (skipping it)!
WARNING: Couldn't find module "audit" (skipping it)!
WARNING: Couldn't find module "usbserial" (skipping it)!
WARNING: Couldn't find module "lp" (skipping it)!
WARNING: Couldn't find module "parport" (skipping it)!
WARNING: Couldn't find module "autofs4" (skipping it)!
WARNING: Couldn't find module "tg3" (skipping it)!

I understand it is still in beta phase. Should I just wait until 3.7.3
comes out for stable distribution?

Thanks for your help
Terry

Terry,

sorry.. I was looking at the code in the trunk (aka 3.7.3 ASAP), so
there's no problem to detect the partitions.

The problem is instead in LVM config cloning. So, what version of LVM
have you installed in your golden client (`pvs -opv_fmt`)? Then what's
the output of the command `vgdisplay -c`? and `lvdisplay -c`?

Consider that if you're using LVM1 there should be some problems in the
cloning procedure, it has been resolved in the svn trunk with one of the
recent fixes...

Regards,
-Andrea
