We are trying for 2 ways:
1) Creating Boot CD

2) PXE-DHCP boot mode, in this mode we have the initrd.img with the
modules for USB in initrd_template/my_modules and charge these modules
in my_modules/INSMOD_COMMANDS file but when I create the initrd with
mkcramfs command, then I compress with gzip and rename the file to
initrd.img, but the boot process fail with the following error:
...
request module: runaway loop modprobe binfmt-0000
request module: runaway loop modprobe binfmt-0000
request module: runaway loop modprobe binfmt-0000
request module: runaway loop modprobe binfmt-0000
...

the modules charging are:
insmod megaraid_mm.ko
insmod megaraid_mbox.ko
insmod scsi_transport_fc.ko
insmod shpchp.ko
insmod sd_mod.ko
insmod sg.ko
insmod e1000.ko
insmod usbcore.ko
insmod usbserial.ko
insmod usb-storake.ko
insmod uhci_hcd.ko
insmod ehci_hcd.ko
insmod usbhid.ko
insmod usbkbd.ko
insmod usbmouse.ko
insmod qla2200.ko
insmod qla2300.ko
insmod qla2xxx.ko
insmod parport_pc.ko

but, I think that the boot process die when it try open to initrd.img
what we have modified, I create this FS with mkcramfs, dos and ext2
without result.

Answer: Is possible that with a beta version 3.7.x from SystemImager,
the si_mkautoinstallcd utility is functional for IA64 architecture?

Thanks,
Alberto
