Hi Dave:
Did you actually run into
issues? I routinely image IDE HDs with SystemImager 3.7.3+ and with the
standard boot kernel and haven't yet encounter any problems.
Regarding floppy disk support, I believe Andrea checked in a fix
into trunk.

Downloading the latest rpms from oscar , there seem to
be some settings
missing in the kernel config of
the
systemimager-i386initrd_template-3.7.3-1.noarch.rpm
ide support is
currently a module, so hard drives not detected
