I realize this was just mentioned in the "blockdev and insmod errors" 
thread, so apologies for creating a new one.  I seem to have nuked that 
chain or something.

I recall one of the first comments being that the ||shellout should be 
removed from the blockdev command in the autoinstall script to keep it 
from bombing, but I just wanted to mention that moving this command 
above the dd that wipes out the MBR, seems to resolve the I/O error 
reading the partition table with blockdev for me.  I'm assuming the dd 
is wiping out something necessary for blockdev to do its read.  I'm not 
sure if there are other implications here?

I'm using SystemImager 3.7.3.
