Hi John:
This issue is fixed in systemimager-unstable 3.7.3.
If you can wait, 3.7.4, (with many enhancements, bugfixes) should be released
early next week (if not sooner).
You can check out what's in the changelog so far
here:
Cheers,
Bernard

[Sisuite-users] autoinstall cd fails: Warning: Partition(s) on /dev/hda are being used
Hi, systemimagers
I have been using si to install Dell 1750s (rack mount units for our
compute farm). I am happy with it. I am now trying to use systemimager
to install some linux 2.6 kernel-based desktops (Dell 450 with
centos4.2). I am using RPMs from your source forge site on the image server:
systemimager-server-3.6.3-1
systemimager-client-3.6.3-1
systemimager-i386boot-standard-3.6.3-1
systemimager-common-3.6.3-1
systemimager-i386initrd_template-3.6.3-1
and on the golden client:
systemimager-common-3.6.3-1
systemimager-i386initrd_template-3.6.3-1
systemimager-client-3.6.3-1
here is how I built the golden image:
on the client: si_prepareclient --server imageserver
on the server: si_getimage -golden-client aclient -image
dell_450_CENTOS4_image_v1
here is how I built the autoinstall cd:
si_mkautoinstallcd -flavor dell_450_CENTOS4_image_v1 --out-file
/tmp/xx.iso --append "ramdisk_size=70000"
When I try to boot the cd, it fails due to insufficient ramdisk size so
apparently the append option on si_mkautoinstallcd doesn't appear to be
working.
I then tried to boot the cd and give the following on the boot command line:
linux ramdisk_size=70000 IMAGENAME=dell_450_CENTOS4_image_v1
This time, it boots up, finds the master, loads it, runs it but fails as
follows:
parted -s -- /dev/hda mklabel msdos || shellout
Warning: Partitions(s) on /dev/hda are being used.
Killing off running processes.
etc.
Any ideas what the problem is? Should I be using the unstable 3.7.x release?
thanks for your assistance and your work on a great product.
