I've had linux-headers installed just fine since before I started.I'm giving compilation another shot after having copied the two files and "ln -sf bash /etc/sh" as Ala has suggested. A couple of questions, though: Why does the make command need to full copy of the latest kernel source? is this for BOEL? Oh, well, here's another failure, again at http://www.mccsc.edu/~sruiz/makebuffer.txt And btw, should I be concerned about the errors that crop up that don't drop the make process back to the command prompt?
