I went back and tried again ... To my surprise, I saw why 'rsync' was timing out: the "image server" wasn't being accessed! The IP address in the 'rsync' command isn't that of the "imager server" (though it is within our campus' IP address range).
So, does anyone know what I did wrong or how I can correct the the bad 'rsync' IP address?
