Hello, Patrick!

SystemImager is really designed for replicating a hard disk image to multiple
computers over a network.

If all you're trying to do is make a backup of your system in order to be able
to restore it later, you might look into using a different tool. Something
basic like tar should work, and it likely comes installed with your Linux
system, whatever that may be. Check out

HTH,

Sim?n

Subject: [sisuite-users] systemimager - copy image without using a network

Hi there

I wanted to know if I can use SystemImager to make an image of my system,
and copy this image onto the same system but maybe just a different
partition. Then if the copied partition changes and I want to restore it, I
can just load the image which is already stored on the same system.

All the examples I have read so far sound like you need to store to a
differnet computer over a network? But this is impractical for my purpose.

Thank you in advance for all your help,

-P
