Can you post your /etc/systemimager/autoinstallscript.conf?  I suspect
/dev/md1 should be mounted as /dev/root?  Did you see any errors while
creating this raid device?  Have you tried booting the client in
rescue mode to see if the filesystems/partitions have been created
correctly?  You might also consider posting your imaging log in
www.pastebin.ca and referencing it here.
