And running parted on /dev/sda works fine? Can you run `fdisk -l` against sdb? Can you run and show the output of `pvs` on your golden client? Are sd[b-d] active and assigned to the VG? Also, presumably you ran si_prepareclient on the golden client which generates the autoinstallscript.conf -- were there any error messages when you ran it?
