You should copy it to your image chroot in your image server (i.e. OSCAR headnode's /var/lib/systemimager/images/<imagename>/etc). Also, I assume that your imaging completed successfully and that the client kernel panics upon reboot -- can you post the imaging log? Boot your client with a rescue CD, it should be in /root/. Post that either in pastebin.ca or host it somewhere -- or you could compress it and try posting to the list.
