We're using SI 4.1.7 from the SVN trunk (have built RPMs from trunk on May 22,
2009). SI works really great out of the box for imaging our older IBM Opteron
nodes as well as with our new Intel Nehalem nodes from HP.

Now I would like to use the wonderful Bittorrent transport to image the
nodes faster than with the usual Rsync transport. I've read the SI
documentation for Bittorrent and documented how to install RPMs in
https://wiki.fysik.dtu.dk/niflheim/SystemImager_Installation#installing-bittorrent-transport-with-systemimager
I've configured /etc/systemimager/bittorrent.conf with appropriate
values for BT_INTERFACE and BT_IMAGES.

I start the systemimager-bittorrent service on the SI server and configure
the client's PXE boot with BITTORRENT=y. For testing purposes I boot only
a single client, and it boots SI normally and eventually gets to the
Bittorrent section. Here is a partial virtual console log from si_monitortk:

> Pinging your SystemImager server to ensure we have network connectivity.
> ...
> We have connectivity to your SystemImager server!
> Monitoring initialized.
> ...
> get_torrents_directory
> rsync -a 10.1.128.2::torrents/ /torrents/
>
> get_boel_binaries_tarball
> Start downloading boel_binaries.tar.gz (x86_64) using bittorrent
>
> --> INFO: remember to start /etc/init.d/systemimager-server-bittorrent on the
> image server!
>
> percent done: 0.0 %
> percent done: 0.0 %
> percent done: 0.0 %
> percent done: 0.0 %
> percent done: 0.0 %

This 0.0% just continues forever ! Nothing seems to get installed at all,
even though the x86_64-boel_binaries.tar.gz.torrent and
x86_64-boel_binaries.tar.gz file are available in
/var/lib/systemimager/torrents/.

Question: What is wrong with my SI Bittorrent setup ?
