Tried 4.1.6, no change. Something else relevant in the output just
preceding the failure:
Load device mapper driver (for LVM).
modprobe: module dm-mod not found.
modprobe: failed to load module dm-mod
Not sure why I'm seeing this yet- investigating.

Yep... I'm using UYOK (though it was built on a different type of
system, same OS tho).
On top of that, within the shellout environment, I'm able to fdisk,
mke2fs, etc to my hearts content on the drive. No problems at all.
Because of that, I dismissed driver issues.
I had wondered about 4.1.6, but since it wasn't marked as stable, I
didn't try it yet.
Thanks for the ssh link- I'll try that, and possibly 4.1.6 if it won't
risk anything.

I'm using systemimager 4.0.2-1 on Fedora 10 x64.
Deploying a currently working image to a newer system results in new
problems: pvcreate fails with this error:
Device /dev/sda2 not found (or ignored by filtering).
There are no filters (no lvm.conf), though I did try putting lvm.conf in
place just to make sure. No luck. This is the first deployment of the
image on a 1TB partition- could that be the source of the problem?
I think you usually get that message when the storage adapter is not
detected for your system. Have you tried using UYOK?
Also, making debugging more difficult, I can't seem to start sshd from
the client's shellout environment because it doesn't have any host keys
available. Anyone know how I could integrate these so I can kill my
sneakernet work?
Take a look at this:
http://wiki.systemimager.org/index.php/SSH
If you're choosing which problem to help me with, I'd much prefer a
solution to the first problem, as it's a show stopper.
thx-
How about two for the price of one? :)
BTW, if possible, you might want to upgrade to 4.1.6.
Cheers,
Bernard
