- Updated to 2.0.2 (MAJOR, via 1.13.0 and 1.14.0).
- Switched the Go module to
github.com/github/github-mcp-server/v2 (upstream v2.0.1); the
command, flags and configuration are unchanged.
- Typed tool inputs and outputs with JSON schemas, advertised only to
clients supporting the MCP 2026-07-28 specification.
- MCP Apps UI is always enabled; the remote_mcp_ui_apps feature flag
gate was removed.
