I cant comment on the WinXP specific issues, but I've been using Sitescooper
for a month or two now in conjunction with Plucker on Win2K and the
combination has been working very well. I havent suffered any real problems
with Plucker but I did find its own (Python) webcrawler components very slow
compared with Sitescooper, as well as lacking the richness of control.

I now use a Sitescooper run per site in -mhtml format and then use Plucker's
crawler locally with a home page which knits the scooped sites into a single
file and creates a nicely organised single PDB for the Palm (which should
also circumvent your WinXP issue as long as it doesnt affect Plucker's PDB
build too).

Regards, Andy
