Here's a site I developed for newscientist news. I am using Jason's from cvs for NewScientist in general, but this site is good for getting the regular news articles and clearing out all of the hyplerlink crap in the middle.
I went to some lengths to have it find the original images for the thumbnails that only very rarely occur in news articles  - and in some cases lately this doesnt always work. If you have 160x160 machine, read the comments and adjust to simply use the thumbnail instead of chasing the original image.
