Father of Woodstock Artie Kornfeld recently released his highly
anticipated memoirs titled "The Pied Piper of Woodstock". After only
two weeks following the release, his memoirs have jumped up the book
charts and have become a classic amongst books highlighting the
Woodstock festival as well as 1960's rock and roll culture. Rave
reviews from readers and critics alike have resulted in a mass
promotion of Kornfeld's book, truly making him the Pied Piper of the
Woodstock nation.

The book offers a sincere, easy to read, and intimately detailed look
into what it was like growing up in the whirlwind of the music
culture of the 1960s. Ever since appearing on stage with Dion and the
Belmonts and co-writing the U.S. number one hit "The Pied Piper",
Artie Kornfeld has been at the center of the rock industry. After
becoming the youngest vice president at Capitol Records, Kornfeld had
the connections to make the vision of the Woodstock festival a reality.

Maintaining the necessary connections to bring the hottest acts of
the time, Artie Kornfeld brought the legendary Woodstock performers
to a small field in Bethel, New York. As far as the 1969 festival is
concerned, Kornfeld had the bands and connections to make it happen.
The first vice president of rock music had been involved in the most
chart topping songs and events of the time and harvested a strong
passion to get the message out. He also convinced Freddy Weintraub, a
VP at Warner Brothers at the time, to sign a hand written movie deal
for only one day before the festival, resulting in the Academy Award
winning documentary which solidified Woodstock's place in
history. In fact, Artie is featured in the movie so often due to the
fact that he had to convince the musicians to appear in the Warner's
film, many of which signed a blank piece of paper constituting a
contract. "The Pied Piper" is a brand new look at the Woodstock music
festival as never seen before and is an in-depth look into the
culture of 60's rock and roll music.

With the Woodstock 40th anniversary still in recent memory, readers
can relive the festival through the eyes of those closest to the
action. Readers are responding strongly to the unique insight being
told for the first time as well as delving into his personal life and
family legacy. Not since the original Woodstock documentary directed
by Michael Wadleigh has so much buzz surrounded a piece of Woodstock media.

Even after 40 years, the voice of the Woodstock nation is being
heard. Check out the chart topping book "The Pied Piper of Woodstock"
